This Privacy Policy explains how the Public Court mobile application ("the App," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. Public Court is operated by an individual developer. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the App:

• Account information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and your Google account display name.
• Anonymous sign-in: You may also use the App with an anonymous account, which does not require an email address.
• User content: The cases, comments, and votes you create within the App.
• Analytics and diagnostics: Aggregated usage data and crash reports collected through Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to help us improve stability and performance.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your GPS or precise location.
• We do not access your camera or photo library.
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To display and operate the content you submit (cases, comments, votes).
• To maintain the security and integrity of the App.
• To analyze usage and fix crashes so we can improve the App.

4. Anonymity Between Users

Other users do not see your real name or email. Content you post is shown under an anonymous display name. Your email (if provided through Google sign-in) is used only on the backend to manage your account and is never shown publicly.

5. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Account → Delete Account). When you delete your account:

• Your personal data is permanently removed, including your account record, email, anonymous display name, and statistics.
• Your authentication account is permanently deleted.
• Content you previously posted (cases and comments) remains published to keep public discussions intact, but it is fully disassociated from you and shown under "Deleted user."

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. If you are unable to access your account, you may request deletion by contacting us at the email below, and we will verify your ownership of the account before processing the request.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase services. We rely on industry-standard security measures provided by Google Cloud to protect your information. While we take reasonable steps to safeguard your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, and Crashlytics). These services process data according to Google's own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
